How to Play
Your Food Truck, Your Rules
You’ve just inherited your granddad’s universe-famous food truck. Guests from across the galaxy are lining up, and it’s your job to cook their orders before time runs out. Each level drops you into a wild new setting — from the Moon to a Garbage Dump — with its own cast of hungry characters. Serve them well and earn Munchelin Stars to unlock new worlds!
Guests & Orders
Each level has a timer and a line of guests waiting at your truck. Every guest has one or more orders — food they’re craving. A speech bubble shows you what they want, but… they’re usually not very clear. It might take you quite a few tries to figure out what they actually want! Take too long and they’ll get hangry (and you’ll earn fewer points). Serve all orders before time runs out to complete the level!
Guests react to what you put on their plate. Match their cravings and they’ll love it. Serve them something they hate? They’ll let you know. The better the match, the more Munchelin Stars you earn at the end of the level.
Workstations & Minigames
Your food truck is equipped with workstations. Each one is a quick minigame that transforms raw ingredients into cooked dishes. The workstations available depend on the level, and each type requires a different action:
Frying Pan — Tilt your wrist gently to keep the food moving. Don’t let it stick!
Blender / Coffee Maker — Tap and hold the screen, then release at exactly the right moment (in the green zone). Release too early or too late and you’ll have to try again, yikes!
Chopping Board — Tap the screen rapidly to chop or crunch the ingredients. Make sure you’re fast, because a progress bar fills up. Too slow? Start over!
Shaker — Shake your arm to shake or mix ingredients. Or to fling the dough into a pizza shape! Keep going until the progress bar fills up. No time limit here, but your guests are still waiting!
Microwave — Put your item in and push the buttons. The lights will tell you what to do. Pay attention, remember the order, then push the buttons in the exact same order.
Cooking Pot — Put your finger on the screen and stir the pot in a circular motion. Don’t stop or the food will burn!
Once a recipe is done, it appears on the guest’s plate. When you’ve prepared everything they ordered, serve the plate and watch their reaction!
If you fail a minigame and need to try again, beware: a 5 second penalty has just been taken of the clock. Now you’re even more in a hurry!
Levels & Progression
Disaster Diner features 12 levels, each with a unique theme, its own set of guests, and increasingly challenging recipes. Levels are unlocked by earning enough experience points (XP). You earn XP and Munchelin Stars by completing orders. The better you serve your guests, the higher your star rating.
Some ingredients are hidden and can only be discovered by experimenting with workstations. Check your Cook Book to see which recipes you’ve unlocked so far!
Multiplayer
Grab up to 3 friends with Wear OS watches and cook together! In multiplayer, orders are split between players so everyone has their own guests to serve. One player hosts the game and picks the level, then everyone cooks at the same time.
You can also cast the game to a Chromecast or Google TV using the Android phone app — perfect for watching the chaos unfold on the big screen.
